However, a popular Film magazine editor took to his social media account and mocked Hina Khan's Cannes appearance. Post which, Hina's friends & colleagues from TV industry including Nakuul Mehta, Nia Sharma, Arjun Bijlani among others came out in her support and bashed Jitesh Pillai.
The editor posted a picture of Hina (from Cannes) as his Instagram story saying, "Cannes has suddenly become Chandivali Studios Kya?"

He commented on Hina Khan using name of a television shooting studio (Chandivali Studios) and hinted his views on TV actors making an appearance on a prestigious international platform. This didn’t go down well with Hina’s industry friends who lambasted him for his comments.
Slamming the magazine editor, Karanvir Bohra wrote, "I'm appalled at this insta story.. Maybe, you had things ready for you maybe you didn't have a humble beginning, maybe you did....but I think hobnobbing with the gliterati you have forgotten your roots. This is the same chandivali studioswhere @iamsrk sir #naseeruddinshah sir @anupampkher ji @ektaravikapoor @sushantsinghrajput have come up the hard way and made a name for themselves. Hina Khan commented on Karanvir's post and thanked him for supporting her genuine 'hardwork'. She wrote, "Thank you my dear friend.. appreciate your genuine appreciation for genuine hardwork!"
