New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shikha Singh, who played the role of Aaliya Mehra in Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, became a mother of a baby girl on June 16, 2020. The actress and her husband Karan Shah are on cloud nine after the arrival of their first child. The new parents have named their daughter Alayna Shah. Shikha, who is known for her power-packed performances in her shows, is spending quality time with her daughter.

Shikha took to social media to share an adorable photo with her daughter as she turned two-months old. The ‘Mahabharat’ actress revealed her baby girl’s full face and introduced her to the rest of the world. She penned a heartfelt note while posting the cute photo on her Instagram handle.

“The way u look at me makes me wonder, what did I do to have you in my life. U are heavenly, angelic, dramatic & somewhat forever hungry. And I will love every bit of you & will always keep on loving you till my last breath & beyond. The journey of मैय्या से गय्या”,the caption for the post read.

Shikha’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ co-stars Naina Singh, Rucha Sharavan, Leena Jumani and Surpriya Shukla dropped comments on the post. ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actor Aly Goni, currently seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi-Made In India’, also commented on the photo.

Shikha, who won hearts with her acting as the menacing Aaliya in Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, has been replaced by Rehyna Malhotra. Speculations were rife that the actress had quit the popular daily soap. However, she later clarified that she didn’t bid adieu to the show and was hoping to return to the sets next year.



On the professional front, Shikha Singh has featured in several popular shows including ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’, ‘Phulwa’ and ‘Mahabharat’.
