New Delhi: Television actor Sheezan Khan, who is out on bail in Tunisha Sharma's suicide case, is all set to participate in Rohit Shetty’s show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.'  His participation in the show was confirmed after the court granted him permission to travel abroad for work. Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma has  reportedly sent a legal notice to the channel for signing him for the show, despite the existing case against the actor.

Tunisha's uncle Pawan Sharma also confirmed the news to a portal.

Tanisha’s mother had earlier questioned the makers about the message they were sending to society by giving a chance to someone charged with a serious offence under Section IPC 306. She had also criticised the show's producers and the network for approaching Sheezan.

She told the ANI news agency, “I have heard that Sheezan has been offered reality shows, including ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi‘. What message are these channels wanting to impart to society by giving a chance to someone undertrial for a serious offence u/s 306 of IPC and against whom the police have submitted a chargesheet of 524 pages?”

She continued by saying people in need of work can perceive criminal activity as a simple path into the film and television sectors. She warned that reality TV would teach kids and wannabe performers that breaking the law is the quickest way to make it big.

Vanita Sharma said, “Our children & aspiring actors will feel that committing crimes is the easiest way to get through these reality shows.”

Amid the reaction of Tanisha’s mother, Sheezan shared a cryptic post on Instagram. Sharing a picture from his childhood on Instagram, he wrote, "You can’t dull My Sunshine".

Tunisha Sharma allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on December 24, 2022, on the sets of her TV serial 'Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul' near Valiv in Palghar. Sheezan was arrested the next day for abetment of suicide on a complaint lodged by Sharma's mother.  He was granted bail in March, 70 days after his arrest.

After his release from jail, he had filed an application in Maharashtra's Vasai court seeking a temporary return of his passport, which was earlier seized during the investigation of the ongoing case.

The Vasai court gave the order in his favour thus clearing the way for his participation in Rohit Shetty’s stunt-based reality show.
