‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12': Can You Answer The Question Faced By Chhavi Kumar Worth Rs 1 Crore?

An FIR has been filed by a BJP MLA against the makers for ‘hurting Hindu sentiments’ over a question related to the ‘Manusmriti’. The question was, “On 25 December 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar and his followers burned copies of which scripture?” The options were - Vishnu Purana, Bhagavad Gita, Rigdev, and Manusmriti. The correct answer is ‘Manusmriti’.

Big B explained after giving out the right answer, ‘In 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar condemned the ancient Hindu text Manusmriti to ideologically justify caste discrimination and untouchability and he also burned copies of it.’

This particular question did not go down well with many people and people started blaming the makers for ‘hurting Hindu sentiments’ and promoting ‘leftist propaganda’.

Filmmaker and author Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, “KBC has been hijacked by Commies. Innocent kids, learn this is how cultural wars are win. It’s called coding.”

Netizens also expressed outrage over the question and called it ‘hinduphobic’. #BoycottKBC also trended on Twitter.
