It won’t be wrong to say that Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 is one of the most-awaited shows of the year. Fans have not been able to control their excitement ever since the first promo of KZK was unveiled by the makers. Erica Fernandes will be reprising the character of Prerna (originally played by Shweta Tiwari) and the Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi fame actress has already caught the attention of viewers with her look. It is yet to be revealed who will play the role of Anurag Basu in Kasautii 2. Names like Parth Samthaan and Abhimanyu Chaudhary are floating in the media.

We had yesterday told you that Kali Prasad Mukherjee will be playing the Prerna’s dad in Kasautii’s reboot version. As per the latest buzz, a popular TV actress has been approached to play Anurag Basu’s sister in the show. The role was originally played by actress Poonam Narula.

A report in a leading daily suggested that Sumona Chakravarti has been finalized to play the important character in KZK 2. The Bengali beauty was last seen in The Kapil Sharma Show as Sarla Gulati.



While talking to DNA, the actress confirmed that she has been approached for the show but said nothing has been finalized yet.

Interestingly, Sumona has been part of Sony TV’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain which was produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Talking about the other characters, Hina Khan is said to be playing Urvashi Dholakia’s Komolika. Although, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress is tight-lipped about the project but she has dropped several hints about the show.

Barun Sobti, who shot to fame with Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, has been reportedly approached to play the role of Mr Bajaj in Kasautii 2.
