New Delhi: Kannada TV actress Mebiena Michael, who shot to fame after winning the reality show ‘Pyaate Hudugir Halli Life 4’, passed away in a road accident on Tuesday (May 26) evening. She was 22. The actress was on her way to her hometown Madikeri when her car rammed into a tractor. She was travelling with her friends when the unfortunate incident took place. They were immediately rushed to Adichuchunagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital for medical treatment. Mebiena succumbed to her injuries while her friends are recovering in the hospital.


Kannada actor Akul Balaji, who hosted ‘Pyaate Hudugir Halli Lifu’, took to Twitter to mourn Mebiena’s death. The ‘Bigg Boss Kannada 2’ winner offered his condolence to her family members.


“Shock to hear the sudden demise of one of my favourite contestant and winner of phhl 4 ..mebina,soo young  and full of life,can't digest the fact..my prayers for her family to get over the tragedy,” he tweeted.



A case has been registered at Belluru Police station. Police officers are investigating the case.


Mebiena Michael started her career as a model. She participated in the fourth season of ‘Pyaate Hudugir Halli Lifu’ and emerged as the winner. The contestants had to take up the challenge of living in a village in the show. They were assigned various physical tasks, which they had to perform in order to survive in the game. Mebiena became a household name after winning the reality show.
