After 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' reboot version & 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' spin-off titled 'Yeh Hai Chahatein', soap-queen Ekta Kapoor is now planning to make TV adaptation of Karan Johar's blockbuster film 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. Ever since the news came out, the fans are desperately waiting to know about the star cast of the TV adaptation. After Varun Sood & Geetanjali Tikekar, the makers have now reportedly approached a popular actor for the show.

He is none other than TV actor Mrunal Jain who is best known for playing the lead role of 'Akash' opposite Tina Dutta in popular 'Colors' show 'Uttaran'.
According to latest reports, Mrunal has been approached by the makers to play one of the male leads of the show.

Speaking about the same, Mrunal confirmed the news & told India Forums that, "Yes I have been approached for Balaji show as well as I have been approached for three different shows. Whatever comes first, I will take it up."
For the uninitiated, Mrunal started his career on TV with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki' on '9X' in which he played the role of lord Krishna. After which he went on to be part of various shows like 'Bandini', 'Hitler Didi', 'Bandhan' among others.
