Gul Khan's popular Star Plus show 'Ishqbaaaz', featuring Nakuul Mehta in lead role of Shivaansh, recently witnessed the entry of actress Niti Taylor as new leading lady. The 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan' and 'Ghulaam' actress is playing the character of 'Mannat' who is a die hard fans of superstar Shivaansh in 'Ishqbaaaz'. Post her entry, there were reports that former leading lady Manjiri Pupala will turn negative in the show. Before that, the makers of 'Ishqbaaaz' are all set to introduce a new villain to make the show more interesting and entertaining.

According to latest reports, TV actor Zaan Khan is set to enter 'Ishqbaaaz' as new antagonist.

The TV actor, who was last seen in popular Star Plus show 'Ishqbaaaz', confirmed the news to a leading daily. Speaking about the same, he said, "Yes, I am joining ‘Ishqbaaaz’ as the antagonist. I will play Varun, a young entrepreneur. It’s an amazing character, and challenging at the same time. This is the first time, I would be playing a part, which oscillates between positive and negative. Varun is two-faced. While he behaves like the quintessential good boy in front of the Oberois, his real and scheming side comes to the fore when he is not with them."

He further told TOI that, "I am loving the character. It’s going to be a challenge to portray it, but I am up for it. After all, it's an actor’s job to play the part convincingly."

On the career front, Zaan Khan made his TV debut opposite Chandni Bhagwanani in Channel V's 'Jhalli Anjali Ke Tootey Dil Ki Amazing Story'. Post which, he went on to be a part of popular shows like 'MTV Splitsvilla 8', 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi' among others. In Zain Imam & Aditi Rathore starrer 'Naamkarann', Zaan played the role of superstar Karan Kapoor (KK).
