Ex Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat's conman husband Vlad Stanescu who once tried to strangulate her has been arrested after she filed police complaint against him reports Spotboye.com. The police were on a lookout for him for a month after Sofia had registered an FIR  against him. The accused was reportedly in a perfume shop in London at the time of arrest.

While speaking to SpotboyE, Sofia confirmed the news and said, "Vlad has been arrested, the police caught hold of him. I don't know what's happening now, but they have informed me that he cannot go back Romania (his home town), or get employment there as he owes the Romanian government money. Hes been arrested in Romania before for violence, and hes been convicted for that."

On a related note, Sofia had kicked her husband Vlad out of their London home after she caught him red handed, stealing in their own house. The actress said that he lied about being an interior designer and even stole her Rs 10 lakh wedding ring and sold it for just Rs 1.5 lakh.

The actress who was pregnant then also suffered a miscarriage due to tensions brewing between them.

Sofia got married to Vlad in April last year in a lavish Egyptian wedding in London. Post wedding, the couple were staying in Sofia's home in London. Sofia has reportedly filed for a divorce, meanwhile, there were also reports that the actress has found love once again! It was said that she is dating the Spanish singer Darius Campbell. Sofia's close friend told the entertainment portal, "It's early days yet and the 2 are getting to know each other. But yea, it seems something is cooking between Sofia and Darius."
