Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau on Saturday (November 21) raided comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa’s house in Mumbai. According to a report in ANI, the drugs law enforcement agency recovered 86.5 grams of Ganja from Bharti's production house and house. The NCB conducted the raid as part of its ongoing probe into the alleged drug case in the film and TV industry. The team led by NCB's zonal director Sameer Wankhede conducted the search at Bharti' house after receiving specific information.


Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiya have accepted consumption of Ganja. The NCB has arrested the comedian while the examination of her husband Harsh is underway, the report in ANI said.

Earlier in the day, Bharti and Harsh reached the NCB office in Mumbai after they after summoned by the agency. The couple was seen sporting a mask on their face as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.


Bharti Singh's FIRST Reaction After Raid


The talented comedian interacted with the media while entering the NCB office. She said that she was brought to the NCB office only for questioning.  "They have called us for some questioning, that's all," Bharti was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Bharti and Harsh are currently hosting 'India's Best Dancer' on Sony TV. The dance reality show will air its grand finale episode this weekend. The couple tied the knot on December 3, 2017 in Goa in the presence of their loved ones. Bharti is also part of 'The Kapil Sharma Show', which also stars Kapil Sharma, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek.

The NCB had earlier conducted raids at Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala's houses in Mumbai in connection with the drugs probe. The agency grilled Arjun and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades as part of their investigation in the case. The 'Om Shanti Om' star was questioned for close to six hours while his ladylove was interrogated over two days (close to 12 hours).

The agency intensified its probe into the alleged Bollywood drugs case after it received information from the Enforcement Directorate that various chats related consumption of drugs were found during the investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

The NCB had arrested SSR's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty under various sections of the NDPS Act in September 2020. The 'Chehre' actress was granted bail last month on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. She stayed in Mumbai's Byculla Jail for nearly a month for allegedly procuring and financing drugs for the 'Dil Bechara' actor.
