Mumbai: Earlier this month, television actor Karan Mehra was arrested after his wife lodged an FIR against him allegedly accusing him of taking her money and beating her up. The complaint was lodged at Goregaon Police Station and the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actor was granted bail a day after his arrest.


Now, according to the latest update, a case of domestic violence has been registered against Karan Mehra based on his wife Nisha Rawal’s complaint. The case has been registered against the actor and his family members Ajay Mehra, Bela Mehra and Kunal Mehra. Reportedly, Nisha Rawal has also alleged Karan of withdrawing Rs 1 crore from her account.

Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against Karan Mehra on May 31, 2021, at Goregaon Police Station. She reached the police station with a bleeding forehead alleging that this condition of hers has been done by her husband Karan. The actor was arrested after that.


Karan Mehra tied the knot with Nisha Rawal on November 24, 2012. The couple has a son named Kavish Mehra who turned 4 years old earlier this month. Nisha organised a wonderful birthday party for her little munchkin amid all this tussle. Though Karan Mehra was not present at the party, he shared a heartfelt note for is son on social media and wrote, “Happy Birthday my little Man @kavishmehra God bless you and protect you always I remember you telling me that you love me gazillions and me saying I Love You gazillions and gazillions and gazillions. I’m always right there in your heart” I will always LOVE YOU Thankyou everyone and bless Kavish”.



Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal’s marriage has been reportedly in trouble for a long time now. After his arrest, Nisha also alleged him of having an extra-marital affair while addressing the media. The actor denied all the allegations and also reportedly claimed that Nisha's rakhi brother Rohit has threatened to kill him and his family.
