New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shilpa Anand, who played the role of original Riddhima Gupta in Star One’s ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ opposite Karan Singh Grover, has been missing from the small screens since quite some time. The talented actress set several tongues wagging when she accused her sister’s mother-in-law of murder attempt.


Shilpa, who changed her name to Ohanna Shivanand in 2015, has now accused her sister Sakshi Anand aka Sonal Anand Brahmbhat of sending a legal notice to their mother amid Coronavirus outbreak. She alleged that Sakshi Anand was trying to put her mother behind the bars in a long post on Instagram.

“Sonal Anand Brahmbhat you really need to meet a shrink ... in the middle of all this coronavirus you are sending a legal notice to your mother to appear in court in her old age for all false accusations .. and you call her friends and lie to them that you are not putting any case against her .... I really really think you need help .... hopefully someday a spiritual guru comes and blesses you with some wisdom ....it’s actually disgusting to think that u want to put ur mother behind bars .... shocking !!! For generations to come your children n their children will alll talk about how you wanted to put your mother behind bars .... Shame on you ...especially since our parents gave us a beautiful life so well protected and treated both of us like little princesses... what a wonderful childhood we had .... from London to Disneyland n what not,” Ohanna Shivanand wrote on Instagram.



When a fan asked Ohanna why she was so angry at her sister, the actress replied, “Sakshi is trying to put her mother behind bars for no reason ... she needs a shrink.”

Ohanna, who started her career as a model, made her acting debut with the South Indian movie ‘Bezawada Police Station’ in 2002.  She entered Bollywood with Ravi Shankar’s film ‘Iqraar by Chance ‘ in 2006.

Shilpa Anand later went on to play the role of Riddhima in ‘Dill Mill Gayye’. She quit the show in 2008 to try her luck in Hindi movie. Sukirti Kandpal, who replaced Shilpa in the medical drama, was later replaced by Jennifer Winget.

For the uninitiated, Ohanna’s sister Sakshi Shivanand is also an actress, who has worked in several South films. She is known for her role in Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai’.
