New Delhi: TV actress Shilpa Anand, who played the role of original Riddhima Gupta opposite Karan Singh Grover in ‘Dill Mill Gayye’, has been missing from the small screen since the past few years. The beautiful recently shared a post on Facebook and informed her fans that she was going through a mental trauma.

Shilpa, who changed her name to Ohanna Shivanand in 2015, alleged that her sister’s mother-in-law attempted to murder her and her mother. Her fans were worried about her safety after the news hit the internet.

The actress, while talking to an entertainment portal, refused to divulge the details but assured that she was doing well. She was reluctant to talk about the family matter.


"It’s a family matter and I really need to consult them before disclosing anything. Can I get back to you?," Ohanna Shivanand told SpotboyE.

Ohanna started her career as a model and later made her acting debut with the South Indian film ‘Bezawada Police Station’ in the year 2002.  She entered Bollywood with Ravi Shankar’s film ‘Iqraar by Chance ‘ in 2006.

Shilpa essayed the lead role of Riddhima in ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ in 2007. She quit the show in 2008 to try her luck in Hindi films. Sukirti Kandpal, who replaced Shilpa in the popular youth show, was later replaced by Jennifer Winget.

Interestingly, Shilpa Anand made her comeback on the very same show with a different character. She played the role of Dr. Shilpa Malhotra opposite Karan Singh Grover. Shilpa and KSG’s sizzling chemistry helped the medical drama in grabbing several eyeballs.
