The much-awaited TV remake of iconic film 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' is in the news since the last few weeks now. Various popular names like Varun Sood, Mrunal Thakur, Erica Fernandes among others were said to be approached to play the lead roles in the remake of Karan Johar's much-loved film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in central characters. Now, latest reports suggest that the makers have signed the makers have found their male lead & he's none other than 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' fame Omkar Kapoor.

The actor, who started his acting career as a child actor with 'Masoom' in 1996, will play the role of an ambitious guy named 'Ritwik Noon'.

Omkar confirmed the news to a leading daily & said that, "Getting a chance to be part of the television industry, especially with Ekta ma'am, makes me feel blessed. On the work front, my character, Ritwik, is ambitious and a go-getter. On the personal front, he is a charmer."

The 'Chota Bacha Jaan Ke' fame actor further told Mid-Day & said, "TV has a wide audience and I want to make a mark in the industry. I'm looking forward to showcasing my talent and earning the love of the audience."

On the career front, the actor recently made his digital debut with the web-series 'Kaushiki' co-starring Sayani Gupta, Namit Das among others.
