Deblina Chatterjee replaces Kanchi Singh as 'Gayu' in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'?

Top-rated 'Star Plus' show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', featuring Shivangi Joshi & Mohsin Khan as Naira-Kartika respectively, went on-air in 2009 & is set to complete 10 years in January next year. The makers of 'YRKKH' are set to introduce another twist & are bringing the character of Gayatri (Gayu) back in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata'. But recently Kanchi Singh, who earlier played the role of 'Gayu' in 'Yeh Rishta...', confirmed that she is not returning to the 'Star Plus' show making her fans sad. Now, the latest buzz suggests that TV actress Deblina Chatterjee will replace Kanchi as new 'Gayu'. The character of Gayu was a positive character who was in love with Kartik but she sacrificed her feeling for her sister Naira. But Gayu will be bolder this time and try to create misunderstandings between Kartik & Naira. Her re-entry will provide a new twist in the Kartik – Naira relationship." Hmm...interesting! On the career front, Deblina made her TV debut with 'Star Plus' show 'Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein' & went on to feature in popular shows like 'Sasural Simar Ka' (Devika / Patali Devi), 'Balika Vadhu' (Gauri Jagdish Singh), 'Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya' among others.
