New Delhi: Popular TV actress Mohena Kumari Singh, who played the role of Keerti in Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, has tested positive for Coronavirus. Mohena, her father-in-law Satpal Maharaj, mother-in-law and other family members are currently in the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. Mohena, who tied the knot with Suyesh Rawat on October 14, 2019, shifted based to Dehradun after her wedding.


Suyesh is the son of Satpal Maharaj, who it the current tourism, cultural and irrigation minister of Uttarakhand. Satpal attended a meeting on last week that was chaired by Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat. According to reports, all the members who were part of the meeting will be tested for Coronavirus.

Mohena, while talking to an entertainment portal, confirmed the news. When asked if 22 people from her family tested positive for COVID-19, she said that seven family members have been affected while others are from a sanstha. She also said that they are currently in the hospital.



“So, a lot of people stay with us. Not in the house but we have a quarters sort of thing. We are 7 family members who have been affected and rest all are people from a sanstha. They are also affected but nobody has any kind of major symptom. In fact, none of us have any major symptoms and I think that's why it spread so much and we didn't come to know about it. Kisiko pata hi nahi chala and ghar hi ghar mein fail gaya. Although we have isolated ourselves and now getting our treatment done,” the actress told SpotboyE.

Mohena started her career with Zee TV’s ‘Dance India Dance 3’. She later switched to acting and featured in ‘Dil Dosti Dance’. It was her role as Keerti in Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan starrer ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata’ which made her a household name. She quit the show in June last year.

Mohena also left the showbiz world post her wedding with Suyesh Rawat.
