TV actor Rohan Mehra, who became a household name after playing the role of Hina Khan's onscreen son 'Naksh' in Rajan Shahi's long-running Star Plus show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', is all set to make his digital debut soon as he has bagged an interesting project. The talented actor, also seen as a participant in 'Bigg Boss 10', has been signed on to play the lead role in Vikas Gupta's upcoming web-series 'Class of 2019' for Ekta Kapoor's OTT platform ALTBalaji.

In 'Class of 2019', Rohan Mehra will be seen opposite 'MTV Ace of Space' fame Chetna Pande.

'Class of 2019' is the second instalment of ALTBalaji show 'Class of 2017' which featured Ashuman Malhotra, Krissann Barretto among others in lead roles.

Speaking about the same, Vikas Gupta told a leading daily that, "Ekta Kapoor convinced me to come up with a new season. Class of 2019 was commissioned a year ago."

Just like 'Class of 2017', the sequel too will have sexual content. Sharing the same, Bigg Boss 11's popular 'mastermind' further added that, "Class of 2019 will be showcasing sex. It is prevalent in the generation today, and part of the journey that the character requires."


After auditioning around 300 actors in three months, the makers roped in Rohan and Chetna for 'Class of 2019'. The duo will be seen sharing screen-space for the first time in the web-series.

Confirming being a part of 'Class of 2019', Rohan Mehta told Mid-Day that, "I beat almost 300 actors after a series of auditions and look tests (for the role)."

On the professional front, Rohan Mehra was last seen playing lead role in popular 'Colors' show 'Sasural Simar Ka'. Post which, he is yet to announce his next full-fledged acting assignment on TV. Whereas, Chetna Pande was last seen as a contestant in 'MTV Ace of Space' in which her chemistry with co-contestant Varun Sood made headlines.
