Mumbai: The makers of ‘Choti Sarradaarni’ are all set to introduce a generation leap to spice up things. The show starring Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Avinesh Rekhi has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their television sets with its drama-packed episodes.

We had earlier informed you that Avinesh Rekhi has decided to quit the show as he was not comfortable playing father to Nimrit, his love interest in the show. Nimrit will be seen playing her own daughter  Seher in the daily soap, which airs on Colors TV.

According to a report in Times of India, the makers have finally found the new male lead of ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’. Mahir Pandhi, who has worked in few web shows, will be seen romancing Nimrit post the leap.

A source close to the production house told the daily that Mahir fits the bill perfectly and will add freshness to the story.

‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ completed two successful years on July 1, 2021. The show emerged as an underdog as it managed to surpass the expectations. The TRPs of the show have witnessed a fall in recent months; however, the makers are hopeful of bouncing back with a bang.

TV Shows Which Recently Took A Leap

Colors channel’s ‘Barrister Babu’ witnessed a leap in order to advance the storyline and focus on the story of grown-up Bondita. Anchal Sahu replaced Aurra Bhatnagar in the popular social drama.

Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ have also taken small leaps to spice up things and grab more eyeballs. The leap formula has always worked wonders for the shows and it remains to be seen if ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ manages to reclaim its slot leadership from ‘Pandya Store’ or not.
