Bigg Boss OTT: Shilpa Shetty's sister Shamita Shetty got locked inside the 'BB' house for the second time.
Mumbai: The cat is finally out of the bag! After weeks of speculations, the makers of ‘Bigg Boss’ have finally confirmed that the Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty will compete as a contestant in the new season. Interestingly, the actress participated in Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Bigg Boss 3’; however, her journey was cut short.
Shamita, who looked stunning in a red outfit, performed on her hit number ‘Sharara’ during the grand premiere of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’.
Why Shamita Shetty Left Bigg Boss 3?
The ‘Mohabbatein’ actress made an exit from the ‘Bigg Boss 3’ house as her sister Shilpa Shetty was getting married to Raj Kundra. Interestingly, Shamita will be seen inside the ‘BB’ house at a time when her brother-in-law has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the production and circulation of pornographic content on mobile applications.
Last month, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police arrested Raj Kundra and booked him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.
What Shamita Shetty Said On ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ Premiere?
The ‘Cash’ actress indirectly addressed Raj Kundra’s arrest in an alleged adult films racket case and said that she will continue with her work as she had said yes to the makers a long time ago.
She said, “A lot happened in recent times and I thought that this might not be the right time to do the show. I had already committed to Bigg Boss and nothing can stop me from fulfilling a commitment once I make it.”
Bigg Boss OTT Contestants List
Shamita will be seen competing with the likes of Ridhima Pandit, Urfi Javed, Raqesh Bapat, Karan Nath, Urfi Javed, Akshara Singh, Zeeshan Khan, Pratik Sehajpal, Divya Agarwal, Millind Gaba and Neha Bhasin in 'Bigg Boss OTT'. The show will be available for vieweing on VOOT Select for a period of six weeks.
