New Delhi: Bollywood singer Kumar Sanu's singer Jaan Kumar Shanu has emerged as one of the dark horses of 'Bigg Boss 14'. The young lad has managed to gain a significant fan following in the very first week. His decision to get a haircut to enter the 'BB 14' house has won several hearts. Even Toofani Senior and 'Bigg Boss 13' winner Sidharth Shukla praised Jaan for accepting the challenge and getting a Mohawk haircut to gain entry in the 'Bigg Boss' house.

Jaan's parents Kumar Sanu and Rita Bhattacharya separated when his mother was six months pregnant with him. After his split with Rita, Kumar Sanu tied the knot with Saloni Sahu, with whom he has two daughters. Jaan's half-sister Shannon K, while talking to an entertainment portal, extended support to the 'Bigg Boss 14' contestant.

Shannon K, who is also a singer, revealed that she has never met Jaan but she is keen to meet and talk to him. The American singer-songwriter said that she has not been able to watch the show but she has seen some glimpses of her half-brother.

Shannon lauded Jaan for shaving his hair as part of a task given by the trio of Hina Khan, Gauahar Khan and Sidharth Shukla. She called him 'brave' and said that she would ask the person to stay back if he/she tries to cut her hair.
"I saw that clip on Instagram and I must say that was a very great thing to do. I mean if someone tries to chop off my hair I will be like stay back and I guess he is very brave to do that," Shannon told SpotboyE.


The 19-year-old also shared that she has heard a lot about Jaan through their their family members.

"Actually, I have never met him and never had a conversation. But like I said before I have heard a lot about him through our people. And now, everybody will get to see him and his personality through Bigg Boss. So, hopefully in future we will meet and have conversations,"  Shannon further told the portal.


On the professional front, Shannon made her Bollywood debut as a playback singer with the track 'Duggi', which was part of the film 'Happy Hardy and Heer'.
