Pandit Ramesh Joshi from the Sai Dham temple in Kandivli alleged that two years earlier Arshi visited his temple and her visits became frequent later. The priest further said that he lend her Rs. 40,000 and could not get money despite his repeated requests. Arshi even stopped responding to his calls and stopped visiting temple.
In a report published in mid-day.com, Pandit Ramesh told, "Arshi was like my daughter; I helped her in a time of distress, but she broke my trust. I seek the police's intervention so I can get my money back."
In her complaint, Arshi however alleged that he referred to her as his daughter and, under that pretext, he would touch her inappropriately.
Anil Mane, senior inspector of Samata Nagar police station, confirmed that he had received the pandit's application and added that the police would look into the matter and register a non-cognisable offence.

Contrary to this, Bigg Boss 11 contestant has released a statement alleging Pandit of harrasment and threat.

'This statement is regarding the news about one Mr. Ramesh Joshi and his allegations against me. First of all, INR 40,000 is not a large amount for me today and I would have repaid any such loan, if one existed. The truth is that I am being continously harassed by Mr.Joshi, who has threatened to defame me, ever since my exit from the Bigg Boss house. My team took appropriate action when the situation got worse recently.
As a woman, I will NOT give in to harassment of any kind and would like to focus on my career. I request the media to consider this as my final statement as my team and I will not speak on this issue anymore.
