New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau on Saturday (November 21) arrested popular comedienne Bharti Singh after questioning her in connection with a drug-related probe. According to a report in ANI, the agency recovered 86.5 grams of cannabis from her house and production house during their raid. The drugs law enforcement agency conducted a raid at Bharti and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa's house in Mumbai. The couple arrived at the NCB office after receiving a summon for questioning.

Bharti Singh Accepts Consuming Ganja


Bharti and her hubby Harsh have accepted that they consumed Ganja, the NCB officials told ANI. While the popular comedienne has been arrested, the examination of Harsh is underway. She was arrested after a five-hour long interrogation.

Singh will be produced before a designation court on November 22. It is yet to be clear if she will be physically present in the court or the session will take place through video conferencing.


Why Was Bharti Singh Arrested In Drugs Case?


The NCB arrested Bharti Singh for allegedly possessing and consuming a banned drug, which was recovered from her house during the raid this morning, a senior NCB official told IANS. Earlier in the day, Bharti interacted with the media while entering the NCB office. She said that she was called 'for some questioning.'

The NCB conducted raid at Bharti's house after some drug peddlers, arrested on Friday (November 20), revealed their names. After receiving the specific information, the agency raided their houses in Andheri's Lokhandwala Complex and Versova.

Bharti and Harsh are currently seen as the hosts on 'India's Best Dancer'. The popular reality show is judged by Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. The grand finale episode of 'IBD' will air on November 22.

Bharti and Harsh, who tied the knot on December 3, 2017, were also seen together in 'Nach Baliye'. Bharti is also part of 'The Kapil Sharma Show', which beams on Sony TV.

List Of Bollywood Celebs Who Were Questioned By NCB In Drugs Case


The NCB has grilled several tinsel town celebs including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Firoz Nadiadwala in connection with its probe into the alleged Bollywood drugs case. Firaz Nadiadwala's wife Shabana was arrested and later granted bail after narcotics substance were recovered from her house.
