Sony TV's popular show 'Beyhadh', featuring Jennifer Winget in the lead role of obsessive lover 'Maya', was one of the path-breaking & much-loved shows on small screen. 'Beyhadh' went off-air in October 2017 and viewers still miss the show. As reported earlier, 'Beyhadh' will soon be back on TV with a second season and Jennifer Winget will return as 'Maya'. Also there's a buzz that Aneri Vanjani too will be a part of 'Beyhadh 2' whereas the makers are yet to finalise show's male lead. Now, the latest reports suggest that 'Naamkarann' actor Viraj Patel might play the lead role in 'Beyhadh' season 2.

According to a leading daily, 'Beyhadh 2' makers are in talks with Viraf Patel to play the male lead on the show.

Speaking about the same, a source told TOI that, "Yes, we are looking forward to roping in Viraf Patel for the part of the leading man on the show. However, there is a twist in the character he will play on the show, which will surely take his fans by surprise. He is a talented actor and we hope to recreate the 'Beyhad' magic with the new season."

However the actor as well as 'Beyhadh 2' makers are yet to react on the same.

On a related note, 'Beyhadh' revolved around Maya's (Jennifer Winget) obsession for Arjun (Kushal Tandon). In the much acclaimed show, Maya tried her level best to get into Arjun's life and at last he ended up shooting her. Whereas, 'Beyhadh' featured Aneri Vajani in the role of Arjun's bestfriend Saanjh. All the three actors was loved for their roles and the show's fans still miss it.

While 'Beyhadh' lead actor Kushal Tandon is not too interested in doing show's second season, there was also a buzz that Harshad Chopda might bag the role opposite his 'Bepannaah' co-star Jennifer Winget. With Viraf's name doing the rounds now, the fans are excited to know who will finally play the male lead's role in it.

Coming back to Viraf Patel, the actor made his TV debut with Sony TV's 'Mahi Way' and went on to be a part of various shows like 'Ek Boond Ishq', 'Kismat' among others and is best known for playing the lead role of 'Ashish' in Star Plus show 'Naamkarann' opposite Barkha Bisht Sengupta before the leap.
