TV actor Ashiesh Roy, who has featured in several hit show, passed away on Tuesday (November 24) due to kidney failure. He was 55. The 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' actor, who was not keeping well since a long time, was admitted to a hospital in May 2020. Ashiesh's 'Sasural Simar Ka' co-stars Manish Raisinghan and Avika Gor took to social media to offer their condolences.


Manish, who played the role of Siddhant opposite Avika Gor, posted a photo with Ashiesh on his Instagram story. Manish and Ashiesh can be seen smiling while Jayati Bhatia aka Mataji from SSK made a goofy face in the photo.

Avika Goli, who was seen as Roli in 'Sasural Simar Ka', also shared a photo with the late actor along with the caption, " #RipAshieshRoy You'll be missed."

Ssumier, who played Roy's on-screen nephew in 'Sasural Simar Ka', tweeted, "RIP Chachu aka Ashiesh Roy what an amazing actor and a human being."



Ashiesh's staff member, while talking to ABP News' correspondent Ravi Jain, said that the actor's sister will arrive from Kolkata and then a decision his funeral will be taken.

"He collapsed around 3.45 am. He had a kidney ailment and his dialysis was also going on but he had gotten better in the last few weeks… His sister will arrive from Kolkata in the evening. A call on funeral will be then taken," the staff member said.

Ashiesh Roy underwent dialysis at Criticare hospital in Mumbai in May 2020. The actor was facing financial crunch and even shared a post on Facebook to request fans for their help. Anurag Kashyap and other tinsel town celebs came forward to help Roy after hearing his story.
