New Delhi: Popular TV actress Hina Khan made waves last year when she walked at the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival in French Riveria. Several Bollywood and small screen celebs lauded the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress for being one of the few TV celebrities to make her presence felt at the prestigious film festival.


Hina unveiled the first look of her upcoming film ‘Lines’ at Cannes 2019. The movie is set against the backdrop of the Kargil war.

As per the latest buzz, another ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress will walk down the red carpet at Cannes 2020. We are talking about Shivangi Joshi. Shivangi, who is currently seen as Naira in the hit Star Plus show, will soon make her silver screen debut.


According to a report in an entertainment portal, Shivangi’s debut film has been titled ‘Our Own Sky’.  The movie will also feature Asifa Haque and Aditya. The three will walk down the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival 2020.

"I roped in Shivangi Joshi for the film as besides her, I didn't find anyone who is capable enough to hold this role. I have already worked with many experienced actors so I wanted to go with someone new. Shivangi has not done much when it comes to music albums or commercials. So this film will give her the opportunity to come out of her daily soap space,” producer Mohammed Nagaman Lateef told SpotboyE.

Talking about Shivangi Joshi, the actress has impressed everyone with her performance in ‘YRKKH’. The show co-starring Mohsin Khan is doing quite well in terms of TRPs. It became the first Hindi daily soap to complete 3000 episodes.


Interestingly, Hina Khan played Shivangi Joshi’s on-screen mother Akshara in ‘Yeh Rishta’.
