New Delhi: Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev Sen and television actor Charu Asopa got divorced on June 8 after being married for four years. The trouble in their marriage started soon after they got married in 2019. They made a number of attempts to get back together but eventually decided to call it quits. In their latest interview, both of them have talked about co-parenting their daughter Ziana. Rajeev also said that he hopes to be reunited with ex-wife Charu.

Charu told ETimes in an interview, “Yes, Rajeev and I are officially divorced now and will continue to co-parent Zianna to the best of our abilities. We are cordial and shall continue to be so. Friendship on a certain level remains, which I believe is needed when a child is involved in the equation. Rajeev and I will always wish well for each other.”

Rajeev said he will spend more time with her daughter Ziana and and will ‘support’ Charu in the upbringing of their daughter.

“Love does not end when it comes to my daughter. Charu and I will remain cordial, and having each other’s support for our daughter will be our highest priority. As a father, giving her my maximum time is more important to me, and so is Charu’s well-being. My love & unconditional support will always be there for her. I also hope someday Charu and I can get back together again," Rajeev told ETimes.

Earlier after the divorce, Rajeev Sen had shared a photo of himself and Charu, smiling on his Instagram story. He captioned the photo, “There are no goodbyes! Just two people who just couldn't hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remain Mom and Dad to our daughter.”

Rajeev was recently offered Bigg Boss OTT season 2 but he turned it down. Rajeev cleared the speculations around his participation in an Instagram video and said, "I would like to say that I am not going inside the Bigg Boss OTT house and the reason behind the same is that it is a very time-consuming and longer commitment which I won't be able to give to the show. "

He said that he never says no to work and that it is a very good opportunity.

"I've always enjoyed Bigg Boss. But I've decided not to do the show and make it loud and clear. I would like to thank all the love and encouragement that I've got from the fans. A lot of my fans wanted me to do the show and even I was keen but I truly hope you all will accept my decision with a big smile. Thank you."
