Mumbai: Television couple Mohit Malik and Additie Malik welcomed a baby boy earlier this year on April 29. The couple named their first child Ekbir Malik which means ‘brave one’. The couple announced the birth of their child on their social media with an adorable picture of Ekbir’s hands.

Taking to her social media, Addite Malik recently shared her experience of giving birth for the first time and why she opted for a C-section delivery. She shared a picture with her little munchkin and wrote, “A lot of you have been asking me about my birthing journey and so here I am today sharing it so that I can tell you that please go with your instinct. Two days before I gave birth to @ekbirmalik , I couldn’t feel his movements and I had really been feeling uneasy.” “I was admitted in the hospital and ultimately, we had a C-Section”, Addite added.

Addite further revealed in her post that her son Ekbir had a cord around his neck. She wrote, “I had wanted a normal delivery, its what I had envisioned for myself. But nothing mattered more than my child and my instinct told me that my child needed to be out. Ekbir had a cord around his neck which later explained the uneasiness I had. He would have still been fine but I know my heart said that for the safety of my child, he needed to come into this world.”

Addite Malik got married to Mohit Malik on December 1, 2010. The couple first met on the sets of the popular show ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann’. Mohit and Addite welcomed their first child after 10 years of marriage.
