Actress Erica Fernandez is the PRERNA BASU for Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2

New Delhi: TV czarina Ekta Kapoor announced on her twitter that there will be a reboot version of hit TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay sometime back. Since then, there has been buzz about who will play the lead roles ‘Prerna Basu’ and ‘Anurag Basu’ in the Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2. The latest news is that TV actress Erica Fernandes has been finalised to reprise Shweta Tiwari’s role ‘Prerna Basu’. As per news in Spotboye, “Erica has indeed been finalised for the show. A source from channel disclosed that the actress has been in talks with Balaji Telefilms for quite sometime and finally she has given a nod of approval to the female lead in the show. She would be essaying the author backed role of Prerna Basu in the much-awaited series.” Although earlier Erica denied this news saying, “Oh no! that's completely not true. Having said that, it's great to know that Kasautii is making a comeback, as it was really nice show. If I sign something, I would break the news myself. Until then, I am just going to travel around the globe and explore."

But this latest development makes us curious to see her stepping in the shoes of ‘Prerna Basu’. Erica was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television's show 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi'. The popular love-saga, which went off-air in 2008, featured Shweta Tiwari & Cezanne Khan in leads as 'Anurag' & 'Prerna'. Their fans are surely going to miss the actors in the rebooted version.
