Kajol's mother and veteran actress Tanuja is making her TV soap debut with Star Plus' next which is set to replace 'Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai'. The period drama 'Aarambh' stars Rajniesh Duggal and Karthika Nair in lead roles, directed by Goldie Behl and written by K V Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of 'Baahubali', 'Baahubali 2' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'.

The show reportedly got delayed but has finally got the slot and the cast has already started shooting for it.

Some pictures from the promo shoot surfaced online in which we can see the first look of lead actor, the Bollywood hottie & 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 5' winner Rajniesh who's donning long hair and beard for the role and he looks hot in the scene.

The promo shoot took place around a month ago and here are some pictures shared by the cast from the sets.

If the reports are to be believed, 'Aarambh' will be telecast in the slot of current thriller series 'Koi Lautke Aaya Hai' starring Surbhi Jyoti and Shoaib Ibrahim in lead and which is to wrap next month in June.

Aarambh is reportedly a period drama which will take the audience back to the era of the Aryans and Dravidians Hahuma, the spiritual leader of Dravidians, and is seen prophesying the future of Dravidians as well as Aryans.

Karthika plays Devsena, the princess leading the Dravidian clan, who are ambushed by the Aryans. Varundev plays Rajniesh Duggall, an Aryan warrior. Aarambh revolves around the love story of these two people who belong to enemy clans.
