New Delhi: The dating rumours of actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma started when a video of them allegedly kissing at a New Year bash in Goa went viral. Both of them then also posed together at an award function, further fuelling the rumours.

The actress recently opened up about the speculation and said that ‘clarifying’ the rumours is not necessary

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Tamannaah said, “We have done a film together. Such rumours keep going around. Clarifying all of them is just not necessary. I have nothing more to say about it.”

The actress also said that speculations around female actors are much more than their male counterparts. “I don’t know why that happens, but females get married a bunch of times before we actually get married! We get married every Friday, and then hear ‘oh you are not married yet!’ People are constantly getting me married to all kinds of people- from doctor to businessman! I feel I have already been married too many times, I don’t know what will happen when I really get married! Will people be excited anymore. People will think it is another speculation!” Bhatia was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

She also spoke about the notion that a female actor has a ‘peak’ after which her career declines. “I never settled for what people thought I should be doing time and again, specially in a female actor’s career. People want you to settle and say ‘this is enough’, and that is often the peak of your career. It’s tragic to have a peak. The moment you touch it, the next moment you go down the peak,” she told Hindustan Times.

Bhatia was last seen in romantic-drama flick ‘Gurthundha Seethakalam.’ She has ‘Bhola Shankar’, Prime Video series ‘Jee Karda’ and Netflix's ‘Lust Stories 2’ in pipeline.
