Had Texted Rhea Chakraborty Asking About His Health SC will today hear Rhea's earlier plea seeking to transfer the probe in a case against her in connection with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput from Patna to Mumbai. Rajput was found dead at his Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 14. Also Read: Swara Bhasker Feels Rhea Chakraborty Is Being Subjected To A Bizarre, Dangerous Media Trial! Later in Monday’s plea she alleged "unfair media trial" against her, and has said that the issue has been blown out of proportion in the media and said the news channels are "examining and cross-examining all the witnesses in the case". In the last hearing of the matter on Wednesday, the Centre had told the apex court that the investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case has been handed over to the CBI. The fresh plea has raised objection on the role of Bihar Police in the matter and has stated that she has no objection if the apex court refers the matter to the CBI by its order. "In the instant case, as the purportedly commenced investigation is the foundation of the CBI case against her, which if found to be without jurisdiction, the entire case of CBI, as well as ED, would fall," the plea said. "It is submitted that the transfer of investigation to CBI by Bihar police is illegal and bad in law... Even if the CBI investigates the matter the jurisdiction will still be with the Courts at Mumbai and not at Patna,” Rhea Chakraborty stated in her petition. The plea argues that Bihar had no jurisdiction to retain the investigation, since the entire cause of action has occurred in Mumbai. The CBI had last week registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi, and others in the case. The ED has also registered a case in the matter.
