The parents of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's former manager Disha Salian have written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind, urging him to take action against Union Minister Narayan Rane and his son Nitesh Rane for allegedly maligning their late daughter. Disha Salian's family has alleged that their daughter's death is being politicised.

Disha Salian had died by suicide just days before Sushant Singh Rajput death in 2020.

Salian's parents in a five page letter to the President demanded for legal actions against Narayan Rane and his son Nitish.

The letter written by Vasanti Salian and Satish Salian, the parents of Disha reads as: "Our life has gone haywire and becomes miserable because of our daughter's death and after that this blatant falsehood spread by Rane and others. Even after registration of offence, Union Minister Rane and his son have not stopped maligning our name. It seems we will not get justice till we are alive as their right to spread falsehood is more important than our fundamental right to life, right to privacy and live with dignity. We request you to issue directions to authorities to take appropriate steps so justice can be done, otherwise, we will end our lives,"urged Disha's parents.

Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020 following which a few days later on June 14, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his residence in Mumbai.

Last year, Mumbai Police closed the probe into the death of Salian as no evidence of any foul play emerged in the case.
