Suriya’s Kanguva Film Editor Nishadh Yusuf Found Dead In Kerala Apartment
Film editor Nishadh Yusuf was found dead in an apartment in Panampilly Nagar, Kerala, early Wednesday morning.
Nishadh Yusuf was found dead in his apartment in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi, around 2 a.m., as reported by India Today. He was 43. Police are investigating but haven’t confirmed a cause of death yet. The news of Nishad’s passing comes just days after he joined Suriya, Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani at the film’s music launch.

The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Directors' Union confirmed his passing on its official Facebook page. The film body shared a photo of the acclaimed editor, writing in Malayalam: "The unexpected demise of Nishadh Yusuf, film editor, who played a major role in determining the contemporary future of the changing Malayalam cinema is not something the film world will be able to quickly accept. Condolences from FEFKA Directors' Union."

Just two days before his passing, the film editor Nishadh posted memories from the 'Kanguva' music launch, sharing photos with Suriya, director Siva, and Bobby Deol.

Yusuf, a Kerala State Film Award winner for Best Editor in 2022, was celebrated for his work on films such as 'Thallumaala', 'Chaaver', 'Saudi Vellakka', and 'Operation Java', and the upcoming releases 'Bazooka', starring Mammootty, and 'Kanguva', featuring Suriya. He received his Best Editor award for 'Thallumaala', solidifying his influence in the industry.
The film editor's last public appearance was at the film's music launch in Chennai over the weekend. 'Kanguva' is slated to be released in theatres on November 14.
