New Delhi: Sobhita Dhulipala recently opened up about her engagement to Naga Chaitanya, motherhood, her upcoming wedding and more. In an interaction with Galatta, Sobhita spoke about following Telugu culture, tradition when it comes to weddings and how she likes to go full ‘fervour’ when it comes to cermonies.

On her engagement to Naga Chaitanya being ‘simple’

When her engagement was called 'simple', she shared that she feels moments as fulfilling as these do not need 'embellishments.'. She told the publication"I don't think I went into the moment with a lot of expectations or dreams, planning...no. I think I was there. It was quite relaxed, simple, sweet, intimate and warm. It was everything I thought it would be. When beautiful things happen, I don't feel the need for embellishments. That moment itself fills me. So I didn't feel like it was simple or it was not; it was what it was meant to be, and it was perfect.”

Sobhita on not being the ‘minimal’ person

Saying that she loves 'vibrancy' when it comes to weddings, the 'Made In Heaven' actor added, "I am not a minimal type person. That could be a mood or a certain kind of look for some day but I think these occasions which are ceremonial, I like the full-fervour."

Shedding some light on Telugu wedding tradition

Sobhita also added that in the Telugu tradition, there are two main sarees, one is the lagnam, a Kanjeevaram saree and the other is the classic white saree with a red border.

Sobhita and Chaitanya got engaged in Hyderabad on August 9, 2024 and are yet to announce a wedding date. For her engagement, she wore a half saree designed by Manish Malhotra.

Their engagement was intimate with only their parents in attendance.
