New Delhi: Fans have been waiting patiently for the 'Vettaiyan' team to release the highly anticipated trailer. Now, the introduction of the whole ensemble of TJ Gnanavel's much-anticipated film ‘Vettaiyan’ has only added to the increasing buzz around the project. Along with Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Fasil, and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, the renowned Rajinikanth leads the ensemble.


In a recent behind-the-scenes video that was posted by producers Lyca Productions, Amitabh Bachchan’s look as Sathyadev was unveiled. On set, the video shows Bachchan chatting with Rajinikanth. 


The makers wrote the caption, "Meet the powerhouse of VETTAIYAN. Introducing @SrBachchan as SATHYADEV. Get ready to witness his groundbreaking performance."






Among the other actors in the film are Ritika Singh (as police officer Roopa), Dushara Vijayan (as instructor Saranya), and Manju Warrier (as the romantic interest Thara). Also, Rana Daggubati will play the role of Natraj.


Fahadh Faasil On His Role In 'Vettaiyan' 


An interviewer questioned Fahadh over his part in 'Vettaiyan' when he was at a news conference. He said that he has a comedic part in Rajinikanth starrer. The actor is thrilled to be working with Rajinikanth and is playing a comic character, a change from his regular villainous roles. Fahadh Faasil will play the role of Patrick. 


No name has been revealed for Rajinikanth's role as of yet.

The forthcoming action thriller ‘Vettaiyan’ promises a brutal tale that exposes corruption in the education system. Starring with Rajinikanth, Big B, and Fahadh Faasil are Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar, among many others.


Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad were among the cities where filming began in October 2023. Filmmaker SR Kathir shot the film, composer Anirudh Ravichander composed the score, and editor Philomin Raj did the editing. 


With ‘Vettaiyan’, Amitabh Bachchan makes his Telugu film debut, while Rajinikanth completes his 170th feature. Along with Hum (1991), the two great performers have shared the screen in films like 'Andha Kanoon' (1983), 'Geraftaar' (1985), and others.  


‘Vettaiyan’ will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada on October 10th.
