New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth, who turned 73 on Tuesday, celebrated his birthday with his family. The picture of his celebration was doing the rounds on social media. In the picture, the superstar is seen cutting the cake as his family members including wife Latha, and daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya Rajinikanth, cheer for him.
The superstar also got wishes from celebs across the Indian film industry on his special day. Actor Dhanush, who Rajinikanth’s ex-son-in-law, whished him on X and wrote, “Happy birthday Thalaiva @rajinikanth (sic),” with a series of folded hands and heart emojis.
Kamal Haasan also took to X and wished the superstar in Tamil.
Malyalam superstar Mohanlal wrote, “Wishing my dear Rajinikanth sir a blessed birthday! As a true embodiment of kindness and humility that inspires millions, here's to many more healthy and happy years ahead.”
Jr NTR too wished Thalaivar and wrote, “Wishing the one & only Thalaivar @Rajinikanth sir, a very Happy Birthday. May your charisma continue to inspire for generations.”
Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions wished the actor on X, “His talent has impacted a whole millennia – there’s truly no one like him! Happy birthday @rajinikanth!🎉 #HappyBirthdayRajinikanth #Rajinikanth.”
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Raghava Lawrence shared birthday wishes for him with photos.
On the work front, Rajinikanth will next be seen in ‘Thalaivar 170’ along with Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel and music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film will hit theatres in 2024.
Rajinikanth was last seen in Jailor which is the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year.
