Telugu superstar Jr NTR has pledged a significant contribution of Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Minister's Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, aiming to aid the ongoing flood relief efforts in the two states. The announcement comes in response to the severe flooding caused by relentless rains.

The Hyderabad-born actor shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his concern for those affected by the natural disaster. In his post, written in Telugu, Jr NTR said, "I’m deeply moved by the recent floods in the two Telugu states due to heavy rains. I pray to God that the Telugu people recover from this calamity soon."

He further stated, "On my part, I am announcing a donation of Rs 50 lakhs each to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments to support the measures taken by the Governments of the two Telugu States for relief from the flood disaster." The floods and rain-related incidents have resulted in the tragic loss of at least 33 lives.

Jr NTR, who is awaiting the release of his highly anticipated pan-India film 'Devara: Part 1', set to hit theaters on September 27, is known for his philanthropy and support of humanitarian causes. 'Devara' is described as a high-octane action drama set in the forgotten coastal regions of India and is directed by Koratala Siva. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

In addition to Devara, Jr NTR is set to appear in 'War 2', part of the YRF spy universe, where he will share the screen with Hrithik Roshan.
