Actor couple Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, who tied the knot on December 4, made their first public appearance after the wedding. The couple visited the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Andhra Pradesh. Accompanying them was Naga Chaitanya’s father, Telugu cinema icon Nagarjuna.

Dressed in a traditional white pancha, Naga Chaitanya paid homage to his cultural roots, while Sobhita looked radiant in a yellow saree. Nagarjuna complemented them in a simple yet elegant kurta-pyjama ensemble.

The couple’s wedding in Hyderabad was a lavish affair, attended by prominent figures from the Telugu film industry. Naga Chaitanya honored his family legacy during the wedding by wearing a pancha, a traditional outfit associated with his late grandfather, legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Meanwhile, Sobhita added a personal touch by donning her mother’s and grandmother’s heirloom jewelry during the pre-wedding ‘Raata ceremony.’

The Raata ceremony, a significant ritual in Telugu weddings, involves the symbolic planting of a bamboo stick adorned with mango, jamun, and Jammi leaves. Sacred offerings, including navaratan (nine gems) and navadhaanya (nine grains), are placed alongside prayers to the pancha bhuta (five elements) and deities of eight directions. This ritual is performed to purify and bless the bride for her new journey in life.

Sobhita cherishes the emotional significance of the jewelry she wore, describing it as a deeply special moment for her.

Naga Chaitanya’s wedding marks a new chapter in his life after his previous marriage to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The former couple married in 2017 but announced their separation four years later in 2021.
