New Delhi: There were reports of Tamil and Malayalam actress Arundhathi Nair meeting with an accident on March 14. Now her sister Arathy has confirmed the reports by posting a statement on Instagram on Monday.
Taking to Instagram, Arathy tagged Arundhathi and revealed that her sister indeed had an accident three days prior, emphasising the seriousness of her condition. In her statement, she clarified, "We felt the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu's newspapers and television channels. It is true that my sister Arundhathi Nair had an accident three days ago. She is critically injured and fighting for her life while being kept on a ventilator at the Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum." Urging for support and prayers, Arathy concluded, "We Need your prayers and Support for her speedy recovery."
Messages of hope and well-wishes inundated the post, with fans expressing their concern and offering prayers for her speedy recovery. "Ayyo really sad to see this. May god give her the strength to recover soon,” wrote one follower, while another shared, " Hope she gets well soon. Our thoughts and prayers with you," Many supporters echoed the sentiment of wishing her a speedy recovery and urged others to pray for her at various places of worship.
According to India Today, the accident happened at the Kovalam bypass, resulting in head injuries for Arundhathi. She was accompanied by her brother at the time of the incident, having returned home after an interview with a YouTube channel.
Arundhathi Nair made her debut in 2014 with the Tamil film 'Pongi Ezhu Manohara' and has since appeared in several films across Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Her latest work includes the 2023 film 5’Aayiram Porkaasukal' and appearances in TV shows like 'Kerala Samajam' and web series such as 'Padmini' and 'Don’t Think.'
