Joju George injured: Malayalam actor Joju George, who plays a significant role in Mani Ratnam's upcoming film 'Thug Life', suffered an injury to his foot while filming a high-risk stunt. According to reports, George broke a bone in his left foot during a stunt sequence involving a helicopter. The incident occurred during the film's shoot in Puducherry.
Joju advised a three-week rest
Following the accident, Joju George was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where an X-ray revealed a fracture. The actor has been advised three weeks' rest. George has since returned to Kochi to recuperate. A photo of the actor with a walking stick and a cast on his leg has been circulating on social media.
The cast and crew of Thug Life had been filming key scenes in Puducherry over the past few days. The next phase of production is set to take place in Europe, with actors Simbu, Trisha, and Kamal Haasan expected to participate.
Directed by Mani Ratnam, Thug Life is a gangster action drama co-written by Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, who also stars in the film. The ensemble cast includes Silambarasan (Simbu), Trisha, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nassar, Ashok Selvan, and Pankaj Tripathi.
Thug Life centers on the historical thuggees, professional robbers and murderers in India. The film is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies. The technical crew features composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad, and cinematographer Ravi K Chandran.
