New Delhi: Malayalam film and television actor Aparna P Nair was found dead at her house in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. She was 31. The actor was reportedly found hanging in her house at Karamana. 


According to The Hindu, police received intimation from a private hospital at Killipalam about the death around 11 p.m.  


The Karamana police have registered a case of unnatural death. According to IANS, investigations revealed that owing to some domestic issues, the actor was in a disturbed mental state for the past few days.


The last call Aparna made was to her mother during which expressed her deep sadness, IANS quoted its source. The body was taken to the Medical College hospital for autopsy on Friday. The police are in the process of taking statements of her sister and mother besides her husband.


Aparna was known for TV shows like Chandanamazha, Atmasakhi, Maithili Veendum Varum and Devasparsham. She has done films like 'Meghatheertham' (2009), 'Mudhugauv' (2016), 'Mythily Veendum Varunnu' (2017), 'Achayans' (2017), 'Neeranjana Pookkal' (2017), 'Devasparsham' (2018), 'Pen Masala' (2018), 'Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel' (2019), 'British Bungalow' (2019), 'Nalla Vishesham' (2019), 'Kalki' (2019)


She is survived by her husband and two daughters Thraya and Krithika.

Hours before her death, Aparna posted a photo montage of her daughter with a song in the background. She captioned it, "My Unni, playful little one."






She was quite active on Instagram and used to give glimpses of her family including her husband and daughters.
