New Delhi: Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Leo' has been performing exceptionally well at the box office since its release and garnering positive reviews in multiple languages.
‘Leo’ is an action-thriller film that was released on October 19. The film has achieved a grand total of Rs 180 crore within its first four days of release and is currently on its way to surpass Rs 200 crore.

Talking about the film's box office collection, according to the Sacnilk report, it was predicted that ‘Leo’ would earn Rs 40 crore on Sunday; however, the film managed to earn Rs 41.50 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 181.35 crore. The film ‘Leo’ boasted an overall 80.28 percent Tamil occupancy, 47.77 percent Telugu occupancy, and 21.22 percent Hindi occupancy.

Also ‘Leo’ has done really well in the international market, raking in Rs 290 crores worldwide and closing in on Rs 300 crores. According to Comscore's global chart, the movie opened at number 3 on the weekend in global box office collections.

The film has been met with a mixed response, with some praising it as a ‘blockbuster’ while others criticizing it as ‘boring’. “Despite the reasons for ‘Leo’s transformation, the film is not a meditation on the consequences of choosing violence or abandoning it. In fact, it celebrates being badass—the film ‘Leo’, after all, we see a spark of pure evil when Parthiban finally admits his origins," wrote the Hindustan Times.

The film ‘Leo’ is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by SS Lalit Kumar. Apart from Vijay, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film's music is composed by Anirudh, and it is produced by Seven Screen Studios.

Thalapathy Vijay's ‘Leo’ was released alongside Anil Ravipudi's action film ‘Bhagwant Kesari’ starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, which earned only ₹31 crore in India and ₹45 crore worldwide after three days.
