Singer and spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis has addressed the rumours linking her to actor Jayam Ravi, which began swirling after the actor publicly announced his separation from his wife, Aarti Ravi.

Kenishaa rubbishes link-up rumours with Jayam Ravi

In a recent interview, Kenishaa clarified the nature of her relationship with the actor, stating that their contact had been limited following their first meeting at the launch of her song "Idhai Yaar Solvaaro." However, she shared that Jayam Ravi reached out to her in June, seeking her help as a spiritual healer.

Kenishaa told DT Next in an interview, “He came to me only after he sent a notice for divorce by mutual consent through his lawyer. He approached me because he didn’t want anyone in Chennai to know about this.”

According to her, the actor was disturbed by the turmoil in his marriage, and she was offering him professional support during a difficult time.

Kenishaa accuses Arti of abusing Jayam

Kenishaa went on to accuse Aarti and her family of abusing Jayam, saying, “But, as a therapist, I can tell you that the pain Jayam Ravi’s family has put him through is bigger than the pain of losing his parents. As a therapist, it was beyond painful for me to hear about his struggles with Aarti and her parents. No one deserves so much abuse, irrespective of the gender, and I can release all the evidence, with or without Ravi’s permission in the court of law, from my notes of our therapy sessions.”

"Aarti is afraid of what she's done to Ravi"

She also accused Aarti of deliberately trying to damage Jayam Ravi's reputation, asserting, “Anything to do with his divorce has to be questioned with Ravi and their leading families. Just because Aarti is afraid of what she’s done to Ravi, she cannot use me as a scapegoat to cover up her doings. What Aarti has been doing in the last one-month in tarnishing his image and to his bank accounts are questionable.”

Kenishaa hinted at possible legal action if the rumours continue, stating, “This is not my circus and I cannot be battling this. If these rumour mills continue, I may have to consider legal action for defamation.”

Jayam Ravi on link-up rumours

Earlier, Jayam Ravi also expressed his frustration over the link-up rumours during an interaction with Hindustan Times. Dismissing the speculation, he said, "How did these rumours about this person start? Why should anyone drag a third person unnecessarily into this issue? I plan to start a spiritual healing centre with Kenishaa and we are looking for some suitable location. My divorce has nothing to do with this. This reflects badly on me and it also reflects badly for others involved, like our families. Has anyone thought about that?”
