'Kannappa' Box Office Predictions

With advance bookings officially opening on 25 June, the film has already recorded over 27,000 tickets sold across Telugu states on BookMyShow, signalling massive anticipation and setting the stage for a historic Rs 100 crore global day-one gross, a landmark for a devotional Telugu film.

Set to launch on over 5,400 screens globally, with more than 4,300 across India and 1,100 overseas, 'Kannappa' is also making history with its U.S. release. The film will screen in over 200 premiere shows across America.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, 'Kannappa' draws from the legendary tale of a hunter who transforms into a devout follower of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular role, while Akshay Kumar features as Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal portrays Goddess Parvati. The cast also includes Mohan Babu, Sarath Kumar, and a special appearance by Prabhas as Rudra.

In a show of confidence over its box office potential, the Andhra Pradesh government has approved a Rs 50 hike in standard cinema ticket prices for 'Kannappa', a move previously implemented for 'Kuberaa', released on 20 June.

'Kannappa' Plot

As per the trailer, the story follows Thinnandu, a sceptic who dismisses idol worship until a series of life-altering events leads him to Lord Shiva. Akshay Kumar’s character helps him see a new spiritual path, marking a powerful journey from disbelief to devotion.

With advance bookings booming, a star-studded cast, and a strong mythological hook, 'Kannappa' is set to be one of the biggest spiritual spectacles Telugu cinema has ever witnessed.
