Kannada film producer and entrepreneur Soundarya Jagadish passed away following an alleged suicide attempt. According to PTI, the incident occurred on Sunday at his residence in Mahalakshmi Layout.

What Soundarya Jagadish's friend said
"Jagadish has died following a suicide attempt. We brought him to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Further procedures are underway to determine the cause. There were no apparent health issues, so we are currently unable to ascertain the sudden reason behind his actions. This occurred earlier this morning,” PTI quoted Jagadish’s friend Shreyas as saying.

Addressing speculation regarding Jagadish's recent receipt of a bank notice and whether it might have contributed to the alleged suicide attempt, Shreyas told PTI, "No, it has no connection with this. That issue has been ongoing for some time now. Business matters are separate."

"Upon learning of the situation, he was immediately rushed to the hospital this morning... he had attempted suicide by hanging," Shreyas explained.

Police on investigation
According to a report in Indian Express, the police believe that the producer killed himself around 4 am and police were informed at 9.40 am, after he was declared dead on arrival by doctors.

“We are investigating the case from all angles. Recently, his mother-in-law passed away and he was depressed because he was attached to her. He was also under medication for stress,” DCP (North) Saidulu Adavath was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

Jagadish also owned a pub in the city and engaged in real estate ventures. Recent controversies surrounding the pub surfaced following reports of late-night gatherings involving film personalities and crew, leading to a temporary suspension of its license.

Throughout his career, Jagadish produced several notable films, including 'Snehitaru,' 'Appu Pappu,' 'Mast Maja Maadi,' and 'Ramleela.'
