Nag Ashwin invites Elon Musk: Director Nag Ashwin and superstar Prabhas recently unveiled a unique custom-made vehicle named 'Bujji' for their upcoming sci-fi film 'Kalki 2898 AD' at an event in Hyderabad. Since its introduction, 'Bujji' has garnered significant attention and has been promoted across various platforms. Following a review by Autocar, the vehicle was tested by actor Naga Chaitanya and Formula 1 racer Narain Karthikeyan, further boosting its profile.  In a bold move to elevate 'Bujji's' visibility, Nag Ashwin has extended a special invitation to Tesla founder Elon Musk, inviting him to experience this innovative vehicle firsthand.

Responding to a video of 'Bujji' on X (formerly known as Twitter), Ashwin personally invited Musk, hinting at a potential collaboration between 'Bujji' and Tesla's Cybertruck. 


"Dear @elonmusk sir... We would love to invite you to see and drive our #Bujji," Ashwin tweeted. He elaborated, "It's a 6-ton beast, fully #madeinindia, fully electric, and an engineering feat. I daresay it'll make for a great photo-op with your Cybertruck (it would be a sight to see them drive together)." The official 'Bujji' account echoed this invitation, tweeting, "Hello @elonmusk. #BujjiCallingElonMusk."

Nag Ashwin initially introduced 'Bujji' through a behind-the-scenes video that showcased the 'brain' of the vehicle—a robot displaying anxiety and impatience as the team assembled its 'body'. This was followed by the formal introduction of the three-wheeler vehicle at the Hyderabad event, attended by the press and select audience members. Voiced by Keerthy Suresh, 'Bujji' serves as the sidekick to Prabhas' character Bhairava in 'Kalki 2898 AD'. A teaser video was also released to highlight the vehicle's role in the film. 




 


The creation of 'Bujji' was made possible with support from industrialist Anand Mahindra. Mahindra commended Ashwin and his team on X, stating, “Fun stuff does, indeed, happen on X…We’re so proud of @nagashwin7 and his tribe of filmmakers who aren’t afraid to think big…and I mean REALLY big. Our team in Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai helped the Kalki team realize its vision for a futuristic vehicle by simulating the powertrain configuration, architecture, and performance.”
