New Delhi: 'Kalki 2898 AD' has been released. The Nag Ashwin film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Kamal Haasan in the lead. The post-apocalyptic science fiction film also saw cameos by ensemble actors and maverick director SS Rajamouli that has clearly created excitement among fans and audiences.
Here is a look at all of the cameos from Kalki 2898 AD:
1. SS Rajamouli
‘RRR’ filmmaker SS Rajamouli and frequent collaborator of Prabhas is seen in a short car chase sequence with Prabhas. The two engage in a fun banter post which Rajamouli disappears.
Most of the cameo sequences in the film are only for a couple of minutes but audiences get a treat of watching their favourite stars come on screen.
2. Vijay Deverakonda
Vijay Deverakonda plays the role of Arjuna, from Mahabharata in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Deverakonda looked stellar and as fans we wanted to see more of him in the film.
3. Mrunal Thakur
Mrunal plays the role of Divya in the film, a fertile mother, who dies an unfortunate death at the hands of Saswata Mukherjee’s character. Mrunal also has a short appearance in the film.
4. Ram Gopal Varma
Allegedly, Ram Gopal Varma’s role in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is only for a few seconds. He plays someone who has the best food in the Complex, and apparently smuggles it. Ram Gopal Varma is seen giving Prabhas an egg for 5000 units( the mode of currency in the Complex).
5. Dulquer Salmaan
The Malayalai star is seen for a small amount of time. We see him mentor the younger version of Prabhas, who calls him Caption. Dulquer is sold to the Complex by his mentee in return for a certain amount of units.
6. Arjun Das
While Arjun Das is not visible in the film, he lends his voice to the actor who plays the role of Lord Krishna in the film.
Interestingly, the actor who played the role of Lord Krishna in the film, is not shown. He is kept in the dark, perhaps to keep the trolls and hate comments at bay.
