New Delhi: Actor Emraan Hashmi, who is known for films like 'Gangster', 'Zeher', 'Awarapan' and 'Shanghai', is all set to make his south cinema debut with Pawan Kalyan starrer 'OG'. The gangster drama directed by Sujeeth also stars Priyanka Mohan.
Production house DVV Entertainment shared the first look of Emraan on Twitter and wrote, “When we have the #OG, we should also have a badass who is powerful and striking…Presenting you all, the nemesis @EmraanHashmi!”
In the first look, the actor is seen in a brown-grey blazer, paired with sunglasses.
Emraan joined the cast as the film's third schedule currently progresses in Hyderabad. He will make his foray into Telugu cinema with the movie and will be seen essaying the role of Pawan Kalyan's nemesis in the film.
Talking about making a debut in the Telugu film industry, Emraan said he looks forward to starring in his first South film.
"I am excited to embark on this new journey with 'OG'. The movie has a strong and gripping script and it offers me a challenging role that I am looking forward to working with Pawan Kalyan Sir, Sujeeth, Danayya Sir and the team. I am confident that we will create a memorable cinematic experience for the audience,” he said in a statement.
The film also stars Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy and Prakash Raj in key roles in the film. With music by Thaman S., 'OG' is produced D.V.V. Danayya, written and directed by Sujeeth under DVV Entertainments banner.
Emraan Hashmi will also be seen as an antagonist in Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’. The much-anticipated film will also have a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. According to reports it will be a jailhouse sequence where Pathaan returns Tiger's favour as the latter had helped him out of a tricky situation in 'Pathaan'.
