New Delhi: Parasuram Petla's ‘Family Star’ marks the debut collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, portraying the story of Govardhan, a middle-class individual devoted to his family's happiness. This family drama released today (April 5) in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

After being screened for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Hyderabad, ‘Family Star’ secured a U/A certificate, with the board recommending the muting of certain swear words and offensive language to cater to a wider audience. Clocking in at two hours, forty-three minutes, and twenty seconds, the film undergoes five deletions as suggested by the Censor Board, including scenes depicting alcohol labels.
