Sirish Bharadwaj, the former son-in-law of renowned actor Chiranjeevi, passed away on Wednesday due to an illness. According to media reports, Sirish died due to health complications related to lung damage. Zee Telugu report stated that Sirish had been unwell for some time and succumbed while receiving medical treatment in a private hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. As of now, the hospital and his family have not released an official statement regarding his death.

Actress Sri Reddy, known for her strained relationship with Chiranjeevi’s family, took to Facebook to announce the news and express her condolences. She shared an old photograph of Sirish with Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sreeja and their daughter Nivrithi, accompanied by the message, “(Chiranjeevi ex alludu) Sirish Bharadwaj is no more..At least now Rest in peace raaa, Sirish Bharadwaj everyone cheated on you raa.”
About Sirish and Sreeja Konidela's relationship
Sirish and Sreeja Konidela’s relationship garnered significant media attention in 2007 when they eloped and married at Arya Samaj in Hyderabad. Sreeja, who pursued a CA degree, defied her family’s wishes and left home to marry Sirish, who was a final-year engineering student at the time. The couple had been in love for four years before tying the knot.
At the time, Sreeja, who was 19, claimed she needed protection from her family, alleging threats. The marriage led Chiranjeevi to file a kidnapping complaint against Sirish, asserting that Sreeja was a minor.
They welcomed their daughter Nivrithi in 2008. Despite the initial turmoil, only Sreeja's brother Ram Charan and her mother Surekha visited her during her hospital stay.
However, their marriage faced challenges, leading Sreeja to file a dowry harassment case against Sirish and his family in 2011. The couple divorced in 2014, after which Sreeja reconciled with her family. Both Sirish and Sreeja moved on with their lives, remarrying different partners. Sreeja married Kalyaan Dhev in 2016, a marriage that ended in 2022, and they have a daughter named Navishka.
